We happened to be at Costco when their Halloween costumes had just hit the racks. When Caleb fell for the fireman costume, I asked Russ if he wanted to be a dalmation, like Duke (our next door neighbor's dog). He jumped on the idea. I love that my kids are still young enough to be persuaded to wear coordinating costumes. I think it's adorable. But I couldn't find a decent dalmation costume to buy, so I had to sew one.
Good thing I was on a roll and made it two months early! When that morning sickness stuff hit there was no such thing as productivity.
I used some well-fitting pajamas as a template and whipped it up in no time! It's far from perfect (only the second zipper I've ever sewn), but it did the trick with no complaints. :)
I must say, these two were a pretty adorable duo!

Halloween 2013
When Caleb saw that I had picked out an elephant costume for Russell, he insisted on wearing the exact same costume.
They were pretty darn cute elephants, if I may say so.

Pumpkin Patch
Every October for the last three years (aka, for Caleb's entire life) we have gone to a different pumpkin patch with our friends.
I love this tradition. I think the boys do, too.

Halloween!
For some reason I was SO excited for Halloween this year! I think it's because this is the first holiday where The Kid is actually able to celebrate. (It's hard to count the 4th of July. Parades, yes, but nothing that The Kid could really participate in.)
We put a lot of thought (and somehow very little effort...) into the costumes.

We went to a few parties with our friends: A dinosaur and two peas in a pod! (Believe me when I say this is the best picture I could get of four babies between 8.5 and 11.5 months of age.)

It turned into this: The Dino attacks The Kid, who is entranced by The Pea Pod's costume, and The Pea Pod has a meltdown.

Now isn't this the cutest little dino you ever did see?

Cheeky little Monkey. :)
